Nick McDonnell: Director at Kain Knight
Since qualifying as a Costs Lawyer in 2010 Nick has
worked with a number of leading costs firms and
costs solicitors conducting high value and complex
costs cases. He is a respected expert in his field.
Lord Birss, the deputy head of civil justice and
member of the CPRC, recently described the newly
implemented fixed recoverable costs regimes
as "done".
"Jackson, we are finished... it is done now," he was
quoted as saying. But that's not entirely correct, is
it? In fact, it's far from correct. Upon consideration
of the latest CPRC minutes, it is apparent that this
statement cannot be accurate for two reasons.
